K Dawn is an Abstract and Mixed Media Artist who originally hails from the Flint Hills of Kansas where the majority of her days were spent creating through writing short stories. Utah has been her home since 2003.

She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Curatorial Studies in 2007. In 2009 she graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a Diploma in Residential Planning.

Citing Jenny Saville, Frida Kahlo, and Vincent Van Gogh as artistic and life influences K Dawn's art has been centered around topics that are often not openly discussed: racism, health challenges, and family history for people of color.
