Poetry Workshop: Love is a Battlefield

Love is a Battlefield: A poetry workshop intensive on writing poems on love through the edges.

Date/Time: Friday 6 - 8:30, saturday 1 - 5 &  6-7:30 readings. Total time: 6. 5 hours

Description: In this workshop we will head into the battlefield of love to explore the delicacy, fragility, heaven and hell of love. Whether it is romantic love or the relationship between siblings, parent and child, friends, a tree, a river, yoga or cooking, love can at once heal us and/or destroy us. Within the margins of this battlefield is the unconditional Love of the Divine. Through the poetic form, we will consider this Love  as we explore the edges through writing poems on a love/love interest in our life. You will have an opportunity to showcase your poems at a reading that will culminate at the end of our workshop.

Experience Level:  Beginners to Seasoned

Bio: Yogi Asif Universe Ullah is a creative writer and healer (in the Yogic/Ayurvedic tradition). He has been writing and teaching creative writing as a way to explore edges, heal, and transform wound into art.
