Emily Fox King
Artist, Mother, Stepmother, Educator, Maker. IL born, WA raised, UT based.
Emily Fox King is a visual artist working in oil paint, sculpture, installation, and printmaking. Much of her work explores notions of femininity, including domestic spaces, and feminized objects (such as flowers, dollhouses and ballerinas). She is currently exploring themes of creation and frustration in abstract floral imagery.
“I think life, motherhood, womanhood, is a mixed bag of beauty, chaos, uncertainty, anger, and resignation, all in one. In the end it’s freaking gorgeousness! That’s what these florals are about.” - Interview with Linda Hoffman Kimball, Co-Editor-In-Chief of Segullah.org
