Mehrsa Baradaran – Author Discussion

Please join us Wednesday, February 21st, at 7 pm for a special event and discussion with Mehrsa Baradaran, author of The Color of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap.

Professor Baradaran is an attorney and legal scholar specializing in bank law and financial regulation. Her previous book, How the Other Half Banks: Exclusion, Exploitation, and the Threat to Democracy, has had a significant effect on policy making discussions on banking regulation and wealth inequality.

Baradaran will be joined by Black Lives Matter activist first-among-equals and all-around Black Identity Extremist Lex Scott. This important event promises a spirited and informative discussion on the economic history of American white supremacy, wealth and capital in the black community, and strategies for advancing racial and economic justice.

This event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
