Akhmatova Lecture Series - Michael Austin on Tolstoy and Rowling

Join us Saturday, July 29th, at 7 pm for the next installment in the Anna Akhmatova Lecture Series as we welcome Michael Austin for a presentation, "Rostovs, Weasleys, and Mormons -- Oh My!: Big Families in Evolution and Literature."

Michael is a widely published literary scholar and the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the University of Evansville, in Indiana. His lecture will examine both the literary and evolutionary function of large families, with particular emphasis on Tolstoy's _War and Peace_ and Rowling's _Harry Potter_ series.

The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
