Fields | Works by Adam Bateman

Please join us Friday, April 7th, at 6 pm for the opening of FIELDS, an exhibition of new paintings and works on paper by Adam Bateman.

Adam is an award winning and nationally renowned artist whose work has shown in galleries and museums from Salt Lake and Denver to New York City and Reykjavek. He received his MFA from Pratt in 2003 and for more than a decade has been the director of CUAC.

FIELDS is a series of very large paintings as well as small works on paper: "The marks on the paintings are limited to the types of marks a farmer makes when irrigating, plowing, planting, harvesting, etc. Like much of my earlier work, they combine visual rhetoric from landscape and from Modernist form."

This impressive exhibition will run through April 29th.

Friday's opening reception is free and open to the publlc.
