An Evening of Sonic Meditations: A Birthday Celebration for Composer Pauline Oliveros

Famed American composer Pauline Oliveros is turning 83 this Saturday. Oliveros played a central role in the rise of late 20th-century American electronic art music. Hannah Johnson, a Masters candidate in musicology at Brigham Young University, will be directing a performance of some of her Sonic Meditations.

Please join us for an evening of celebration, sonic awareness, and feminine solidarity.

This event is free and open to the public, but the "downbeat" on the first performance will be at 7:30 sharp, so please arrive early, as close to 7:00 as possible.
